Marinas on the Bay of Biscay
The Euskaquitaine association was created in 2000. Belonging to two states, it was created in accordance with the directives of the European Union concerning transfrontier cooperation. Its territory covers the Basque Autonomous community in Spain and the region of Aquitaine in France, with a total of 12 marinas, 6 for each region, with the addition of the Port of Bordeaux as an honorary member in 2012.
The aim of the association is to promote the Bay of Biscay as a holiday and nautical destination, by participating in nautical shows, publishing brochures…
Since its creation, Euskaquitaine has received financing from the Basque government and the Aquitaine regional council.
